Appearance: Kian is handsome in a dark and pale sort of way. His skin is always very fair, moon-pale, as if he has stayed cooped up inside for his entire life. He has a shock of hair so dark it can be classified as black. His eyes are blue, and appear quite vibrant compared to his pale skin and dark hair. His eyes are rather intense and his gaze can be downright creepy if he stares at someone long enough, and sometimes his eyes just look vacant. He has high cheekbones and an almost sensual mouth that is more prone to smirking than anything. Kian tends towards black clothes and other dark colours, and is rather nattily dressed - he even enjoys wearing suits, when the situation permits.
Psychic Ability: Psychic vampire.
Expanded abilities: Kian is able to drain the energy from another person via touch. By touching their skin he can sap energy out of their cells and nerve endings. The longer he is able to touch someone, the more he can take, making them woozy, or even knocking them unconscious. Given long enough physical contact, he could literally drain the life right out of a person. This energy makes him stronger and faster than the average person, although the effects only last for a short while after he has drained energy from a person.
Limitations: Kian not only can drain the energy from other people, but he needs to. The longer he goes without, the weaker he becomes. He requires skin-to-skin contact in order to drain energy from a person.
Personality: Kian is intense in everything that he does. There is an air of obsession about him that can be a bit unnerving to people, although often they can’t quite put their finger on it. Kian can play the role of a nice guy rather well, all charm and smooth words and graces. But it is just that - a role, a part to play. There is a thread of darkness that weaves through Kian, and while he tried to hide it when he was younger, he has now given himself over to it, embracing it. He likes causing trouble for those he thinks deserve it - which is anyone who embraces the idea of a happy-go-lucky world, which he believes is a foolish pipe dream. Kian is very clever, which is part of what makes him so unnerving. However when he is around most people he acts the way he did when he was younger - like an amicable person who is relatively easy to get along with.
Strengths: Kian is intelligent and is very good at pulling the wool over the eyes of others. He is trained in the use of handguns as well as wielding small knives. He is good at intimidating others and bending others to his will. He is being groomed to someday lead Project Stargate.
Weaknesses: He requires energy from other living things in order to stay healthy. He can be a bit too fanatical at times. His requirement of energy is like a drug and an addiction and when he doesn’t get it he can become somewhat unhinged. He has a problem with relationships, and tends to be too domineering.

History: Kian was born to a relatively normal family, but he was never quite an ordinary boy. There was always something slightly off about him, although he learned early enough what to do to blend in and fit in with other people. He excelled in school without really having to try, and while he had friends, he often didn’t really like them. But Kian assumed that was normal.
When he was thirteen and puberty was well kicking in, so did his psychic abilities. He suddenly felt hungry all the time, in ways that no food could sate. The first time he drained energy from someone was in school. He had touched the arm of a friend and suddenly something happened. He felt jolted and alive and his fingers grasped the arm of the boy because he didn’t want to lose that feeling. The other boy broke away and fainted, and although no one could pin anything on Kian, he was once again an outcast.
He was a fast learner and soon enough, with experimentation, he knew what he was doing. Somehow, he could take something from other people, something that made him fast and strong. He kept this to himself as much as he could, sneaking up on people and snapping energy when they didn’t realize it. He injured a number, leaving them in comas, but he didn’t care.
He was in his Sophomore year when he found out about the Zener School. Curious, he went to talk with them and was accepted. Once again he slipped into the role of regular student. And he played that role for the rest of his high school career, even making a number of friends. When he graduated, he moved from the school and fell off the radar, or so it seemed. In truth he was recruited by Project Stargate. He fell into that role with ease, and the cover was dropped - he could let his true colours show through. Kian became a quick favourite of Mr. Smith, who decided to groom Kian for eventual leadership (in the fuure, if Mr. Smith was ever incapacitated).
Recently, it was decided that a handful of Stargate psychics would be sent to the Zener School as students. Too old for that, he approached the staff of Zener with the interest of a job. As a familiar face and a former good student, he was hired on to be an assistant of sorts, helping teachers and doing tutoring. But really he was there to lead the Stargate operation of information gathering.
